Body Museum : A rhythm of healing, resistance, and becoming
The Body Museum is envisioned as a space to build understanding around body politics, diverse bodies, biological processes, and the everyday experiences of fear, shame, and stigma. It is rooted in the social and cultural contexts in which bodies are lived, controlled, and negotiated—particularly in the lives of girls and young women.
This space invites reflection on how bodies are shaped by power, gender norms, labour, relationships, and access to information and services. Alongside conversations on menstruation, reproduction, sexuality, and health, the Body Museum opens room to understand emotions, memories, and meanings attached to bodies, often left unspoken or hidden.
Rather than a static display, the Body Museum is imagined as a dynamic and participatory space. It creates opportunities for dialogue, sensory engagement, and embodied learning, where people can question norms, unlearn shame, and build more respectful relationships with their bodies.
Grounded in lived realities and collective processes, the Body Museum brings together imagination and context. It is envisioned as a space that supports learning, healing, and resistance—allowing bodies to be seen, understood, and valued with dignity.
