Resource Library

Since its inception, Vishakha has viewed knowledge and learning as central to social transformation. Over the years, we have developed and nurtured diverse learning resources to support feminist learning, critical reflection and community action.

As part of this journey, Vishakha is developing a Resource Library to make these resources more accessible to practitioners, students, researchers, educators, activists and community members.

The library currently houses over 4,000 books covering themes such as gender, feminism, education, children's literature, mental health, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), human rights, law and community development.

In addition, Vishakha has a curated CD/DVD library comprising primarily of issue-based feature films, along with selected documentaries and educational films. These resources have been extensively used in trainings, workshops and community learning processes, and continue to remain an important part of Vishakha's knowledge archive. Although CDs/DVDs are no longer used as frequently, this valuable collection has significant potential for digitisation and can be made more accessible and useful for future learning, education and research.

The Resource Library will continue to grow as we catalogue, organise and expand our collections over time.
