Celebrating Resistance and Joy

Utsavpoorna hon hamare sangharsh affirms that feminist struggles are sustained not only through resistance, but also through solidarity, creativity, and shared joy. Recognising the emotional exhaustion, dilemmas, and isolation often experienced by women activists and violence intervention workers, this initiative creates intentional spaces for rest, reflection, and renewal.

Building on Vishakha’s long engagement with healing practices, the process brings together women activists and grassroot workers — especially from rural and small-town contexts — to reconnect with their bodies, emotions, and purpose. Through movement, dialogue, and expressive methods, participants rediscover joy, strengthen solidarities, and cultivate sustainable cultures of care.

Here, self-care is understood not as withdrawal from struggle, but as a collective and political act that sustains long-term feminist engagement

Experiences

"मैंने जिंदगी में पहली बार आपने आपको इतना करीब से जानने की कोशिश की है | इस कार्यशाला में अपनी भावनाओ , विचार , शरीर को जानने का मौका मिला | ये भी समझ पा रही कि खुद की देखभाल और  अपनी खुशहाली की और ध्यान मेरे लिए कितना जरूरी है |"

“We can be the source of our own happiness without seeking it from the outside.”

“Grateful for the process. Loved that nobody had to give explanations and no one was expecting one either.”
