Field facilitation with adolescent girls and women
Supporting girls with issues related to education, health, and violence.
Trust-building and one-on-one emotional support

Meeri Meena has been working with Vishakha for the past seven years as a field worker, engaging closely with adolescent girls and women in her community. Her work focuses on education, health, violence-related concerns, and documentation support, especially for those navigating difficult or uncertain situations. She has completed her Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC).

She believes in building relationships based on trust and friendship. Whether she’s helping someone through a challenge, facilitating a kishori samuh (adolescent girls’ group), or simply listening with care, her presence is steady and supportive.

Heeri has contributed to various initiatives, including Baadalav Yatra, Gothni centre work, and SRHR leadership activities. She has also taught children from classes 1 to 5, bringing energy and patience into learning spaces. Outside of her work, Heeri enjoys dressing up and taking care of her appearance, finding joy and confidence in sajhna-sawarna as a form of self-expression.
