Meenu is a counselling psychologist and research associate at Hamkadam, Vishakha. Her work is rooted in the intention to create spaces that are affirming, inclusive, and responsive to the lived realities of individuals navigating emotional, relational, and social complexities.
She has recently joined Vishakha. Guided by values of love, justice, kindness, and care, Meenu brings a gentle and grounding presence to her practice. Her decision to work in grassroots settings stems from a personal intention to stay close to people’s everyday realities and to learn from their lived experiences. For her, the field is a space of exploration of self, systems, and relationships.
Her academic and practice-based interests lie in the intersections of gender, mental health, and cultural psychology, with a strong belief in exploration as a way of opening new pathways for healing, connection, and understanding. She has supported individuals across age groups through concerns such as anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, identity exploration, and life transitions.
Outside of her therapeutic and research roles, Meenu finds meaning and rest in journaling, cooking, dancing, and immersing herself in fictional worlds that offer both escape and insight.
