Community-based facilitation on health and hygiene
Adolescent engagement and scientific awareness
Capacity-building through education and reflection
Nisha transitioned from the banking sector to the social sector with a deep desire to learn from people, communities, and everyday realities. She holds an MSc in Botany from Gondwana University, Gadchiroli, and a Master’s in Education from Azim Premji University, Bhopal. Her journey through organisations such as Eklavya (Bhopal), Sangatya (Udupi), and Guriya (Varanasi) has offered her diverse exposure to how education, gender, health, and social structures unfold at the grassroots. She has recently joined Vishakha.
She is especially interested in understanding how scientific thinking can be made meaningful in people’s lives, whether through conversations on menstruation, hygiene, or adolescent health. With a curious and questioning mind, she is constantly learning how to communicate these topics in simple and respectful ways.
For Nisha, the field is a space of exploration. She values the opportunity to meet people where they are, to listen without judgment, and to deepen her understanding of social processes not just through theory, but through lived experiences.
