Failitating group processes Supporting and addressing educational challenges Awareness-building around violence and safety Creating playful, inclusive and safe spaces
Sapana has been working with Vishakha since 2015 as a field worker across two Panchayats, covering around ten villages. She holds a Bachelor's in Education from Govind Guru Tribal University, Banswara, and a B.A. from Mohanlal Sukhadiya University, Udaipur. Her work is rooted in the everyday realities of girls and women in tribal areas, where access to education, mobility, and safety often come with challenges.
She works closely with the ecosystem surrounding adolescent girls engaging families, addressing violence, and supporting continued education and access to documentation, especially in contexts where stepping out is difficult.
Her presence is marked by ease, trust, and consistency. Whether through formal sessions or everyday moments of talking, playing, and learning together, she creates spaces where girls can reflect on their experiences and slowly begin to speak and seek support.
Sapana believes that change begins through dialogue at home, in the village, and within oneself. Her patient and thoughtful engagement has helped many girls feel seen, supported, and more connected to the world beyond their immediate circumstances.
